Battle Furballs Information, Guidelines and Terms of Service

Battle Furballs (BFBs) is a closed species created by AmIYourHiro with help from AnaStaFury.

Being a closed species, BFBs can be only obtained through:

• Staff sales / raffles with pre-made designs (adopts).
• Created by you only if you have a necessary MYO (Make Your Own) slot.

By joining our species community and filling the introduction form on Discord, you are automatically agreeing with our ToS and species rules.

Constantly violating or exploiting loopholes in said rules will result in permanent ban from the species and your BFB designs will be nullified. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse!
If you found a loophole, please contact staff about it and do not exploit it by yourself.

Be aware that the rules can and will be updated with time, we will notify about that!

Disclaimer

To be a part of the community, you should be at least an 18+ years old and have a Discord account to join our Discord server.
Being on the Discord server is necessary since events and some other stuff done through it. (At least for now)

Why people under age of 18+ [minors] cannot join us?

We are not specifically an NSFW species, but due to topics showcased in the species and our community being majority adults, we decided to prohibit minors of joining us until they will reach the age of 18+. More in depth you can read below.

Content displayed on this site may include the following:

• Guns
• Fantasy violence (Rarely excessive fantasy violence, mostly outside of the site)
• Blood
• Mild suggestive themes (Explicit / NSFW imagery is NOT allowed on the site, read more in the "Regarding NSFW content")
• Simulated gambling with virtual currency
• Use of strong language
• Possible depiction of smoking, alcohol and drinking

We also want to minimize the risks for both parties:
Our community is made by adults, contains adult themes and members are adults too. This creates a danger for underage members because of the constant exposure to an adult community and possiblity to be esxposed to adult content if they would've been allowed to partake. We will not be able to provide a proper supervision and help in this situation. Because of that, we have decided to not allow minors to enter the species. If a minor will lie about their age and we will discover that, person will be banned.

Minors are also not allowed to use PayPal for any type of transactions:
In our community, we may offer services and sales for members, and it may create a risk for us if minors enter our sales and will pay against the PayPal ToS by using their parents account / something else. This may result in the suspension of accounts for both parties, and we don't want this to happen.

Terms of Service

Account

• While creating your account, your username cannot be anything offensive, hateful, vulgar or defamatory. We have the rights to modify a username or ban account associated with it if username is considered offensive. 
• You should not impersonate anyone, your information should be yours, up to date and accurate. If we will find out that a member impersonates / poses like someone else, their account will be banned.
• Sharing accounts with someone else is prohibited. If any other party uses your account and breaks the rules resulting in ban, we will not be able to help you.
• Multiaccounting is prohibited. You must have only one account!
• You cannot sell or trade your account to someone else. This will result in a ban without any possibility to appeal.
• Your account is your responsibility, if you are hacked and banned, we may not be able to help you.
• Staff team has all rights to ban your account if you are suspected of breaking the terms of service.
• If your account is banned, you will lose all rights over any character / items / currency bound to this account.
• You can appeal the ban, providing proof of innocence for the owner of the species.

BFB Ownership

Owning a Battle Furballs character means that you have a partial rights to that character design. You do not own rights to the associated species!

Partial rights to the character are the following:

• You can name your character, create a unique backstory, give them a personality, etc. as long it does not break any guidelines  or ToS.
• Use BFB in your own settings, worlds, alternative universes as long as it's stated.
• Enter and partake in the community events using your character.
• Sell / trade / gift your character within the community following a "Selling and Trading" guidelines and if character has no limitations for it.
• Create alternative (AU) versions of your character or in the other species as long designs will stay connected even if they will be sold. You can not sell connected designs separately, if we will find out, your design / character will be voided from the species.
• Create or commission artwork for your character as long as it does not break any guidelines / ToS. 
• Display artwork of your character not for commercial use. You can freely display it on this site if it's not NSFW content.

What you can’t do:

• Sell your character if it's not allowed to be sold.
• Resell the character for a bigger price without additional commissioned art.
• You can not sell or trade connected / AU designs separately from your BFB. These must be sold together.
• Trade your character if it's not allowed to be traded.
• Claim artwork / design / species as your own if it's not created by you.
• Edit or modify any artwork that does not belong to you without permission.
• Use BFBs for commercial purposes, especially if it's a design inspired by other media.
• Co-own any BFB with someone else.

All rights to the character are transferred with the character. If you sell / trade your character, you will hold no rights over them or AU designs for them.

If you want to void your character, you must contact staff about it. You will not be able to sell or trade a voided character and will lose all rights over them. If this design were part of the species lore or heavily connected to it, species owners have all rights to reclaim ownership of the character. But we will never redistribute voided characters to other users.

In the situation where someone will buy a design and then maliciously charge back the money. If reported, we have the rights to return ownership of the character to the previous owner or staff team. If this happens with the staff adopt, we have the rights to resell / redistribute / repurpose the design. Any user who maliciously charges back money will be permanently banned from the species.

No additional rules or terms might be added to the trades or sale of the character. You must strictly follow our guidelines regarding trades and sales without addition of your own terms.

MYO Slots

MYO (Make Your Own) slots give you permission to make your own character in the species community. One slot per one design only. They can be bought in the community shop, acquired in community events, or be gifted by the staff or other members of the community. 

Please check the MYO guide page if you want to create a character using one.

Only the species owners can sell you the MYO slots by giving you the USD voucher to purchase it from the shop or directly giving out MYO for you after payment. If someone wants to sell you the slot, please notify moderators / owners about it, this person will be blacklisted.

What you can do with a MYO slot:

• Create your own design based on your MYO rarity, MYO trait limitations and following species anatomy rules. (You can have any traits of said rarity or lower rarity)
• Trade MYO for a different MYO, art or character with other members of the community.
• Switch your MYO for a bigger rarity by purchasing the MYO upgrade / trading with staff.

What you can’t do with a MYO slot:

• Create a design with traits that are a higher rarity than your MYO slot.
• Sell your MYO to another person for real life currency or species currency.

Regarding NSFW content with BFBs

Any BFB that depicted in NSFW / explicit content should be an adult.
All BFBs with fully developed guns are mature, and their age is over 18 years old in the human years, since their gun tails fully develop in the age of 21.

Generally BFBs are genderless and all have the same inner body structure, but if the owner of the character wants, their BFB can have any type of genitalia. But the main display reference for the character should be SFW no matter what. We will not allow any NSFW reference or imagery to be posted on the site / masterlist.

We also strongly advising not to do any NSFW content with characters that may look young or childish, even if their age is or over 18! This mostly applies to the characters that have the Basic Body Type proportions.

If you are making NSFW content with BFB and wish to share it on Discord, please do so only in the dedicated NSFW channel and properly tag it! Otherwise, you will get a warning or even can be banned from the species. Sharing NSFW content on the site is prohibited!

We are not responsible for any type of oopsies that NSFW content can lead to if you are not careful!

Selling and Trading

Species currency:

In the species, currency is called Golden Coins or GC for short. 1 GC = 1 USD.

Golden coins can be obtained:

• By reselling shop items from the profile inventory.
• As a prize in the events.
• Bought from the owner. 1 GC = 1 USD.

Golden coins can't be traded for MYO slots or designs. They cannot be used to buy designs / MYO slots and can be only used to buy items in the shop! If you see someone who is not a species owner selling BFB Golden Coins, please do not buy them and report this to the staff team or owners of the species.

Characters / Designs:

• Your BFB character can be gifted, sold or traded only if it's stated in the masterlist that they can be.
  Almost all gifted by owners characters / MYO slots will be not for sale and not for trade. This also applies to the staff members. (If someone from staff will be caught selling their untradeable / not for sale characters, they will be demoted and can be even blacklisted)
  
• Only owners or staff can revoke the untradeable / not for sale status if your character has at least 5 commissioned or 10 gifted art pieces, but only if the character is not a big part of the species lore.
• For now, all character transactions should be done in the dedicated channel in our Discord community server. If someone trades or sell character outside of the community, they will be blacklisted.
• You can sell or resell your character only for the amount you paid for them if you do not have any additional commissioned art. If the character was created with the MYO slot that was bought for the USD from the MYO shop, your character will be worth the MYO price amount and can gain in price only by additional commissioned art. 
• Additional free art with your character from the events or gifts does not count in the final price of the character.
• After being bought, the character will have a 2-month trade / selling cooldown before the next trade can be done. (If this rule is violated, you will be warned).
• MYO characters with commissioned references can cost more than price for the MYO slot itself since reference will count as a commissioned art.
• Bought and applied items count in the final price of the character. Items that were gifted or obtained in the event will not count.
• If you felt disconnected with your BFB, please do not be rude while selling the design. We ask you to not express about how much you want to sell the design and how much you do not like them now and want them to be gone. It’s someone’s work, and it’s disrespectful to do that. Just say that you disconnected with them and want to sell / trade.

MYOs:

• MYOs can only be traded for the other MYOs, character or art. You can not sell MYOs for any type of currency! 
• MYO will have a 2 months trade cooldown if gifted to another member!

Items:

• Items can be traded only for different species items with different rarity. Items can't be traded for anything else like art / characters / MYOs / items from the other species / etc! 
• Items can be freely gifted from member to member in the community.
• Items can not be sold for real life currency by the community members. That can be done only by the owners of the species.

Redesign

Redesigning a character into other species

As stated before, if you want to make an addition / alternative version of your character in another species, both designs will be bound with each other. That means, if you will want to sell your character to someone else, you will sell all versions of them together. 

But if you want to redesign your character completely into another species without any bounds to the BFB design, you can fully void them in the species by contacting the staff or owners.

Have in mind that if your BFB design is inspired by your other character, they will be bound together and will not be able to be sold separately if they are strongly reminiscent of each other!

media Inspired Designs

We are not against media inspired designs, we have a lot of those for ourselves (too much in all honesty, but we will try to redesign them more in the future). But please state that the character is inspired by the other media, so we and other members will know about that.

You can freely make designs inspired by games / cartoons / anime / books / etc. But have in mind that you should not make design that is 1 to 1 copy of the design from the media! Please add something from yourself and make sure it is not just a copy. You also can make inspired design even if someone else already did it, just try to do it differently if possible. But also if you are the first one to make this inspired design, you need to understand that some other people may try to do it too and you will not be upset over it. But copying 1 to 1 someone else take on the inspired design is prohibited

If you still want to make a really inspired design that is almost or acutally 1 to 1 copy, you can do it only if you are okay with your character be not for sale and not for trade. Tags will be removed if the character has a redesign that makes them look less inspired by the original media. 

Designs closely inspired by someone else characters are prohibited! 

But if you want to make a BFB inspired by your own design / character, as stated before they will be bond together. That means you will not be able to sell your BFB separately from the other design, unless they will have a redesign.

If we find out that someone made a closely inspired design  or design inspired by someone else's character without stating that while sending the design for approval, the person will be warned first and they will need to change character design. If the person will not collaborate and make the changes, their character will not be approved and in the worst case scenario, the person will be blacklisted. 

As the admin team we never sell closely inspired designs to the members. All our closely inspired characters are lore characters or personal admin characters that never will be for sale! If you will see admin or staff member breaking this rule, please contact AmIYourHiro.

Want to step away from the species?

If you want to leave the species and discord server for some time, you need to notify us about that if you have any BFB species character in your possession. Your character will be frozen if you want to keep them for the future. Being frozen means character can't be traded / sold / gifted for the time of them being frozen.

If you want to trade / sell / gift your character while they are frozen, you can do so only through contacting admins with the information about transaction and confirmation from other party. The other party should be on the server and agree with ToS of the species.

If you want to leave completely and redesign your characters into something else, please notify us! We will mark your character as voided. Keep in mind that voided characters are technically forver gone and can't be "re-activated".

Returning to the species after leaving.

If you want to return to our community, feel free to do so! If you had a character and they are not voided, they will be unfrozen for you to use!
